Sri Lanka win toss and bat against India in Asia Cup

Sri Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardene won the toss and decided to bat in the Asia Cup Super League match against India at National Stadium here on Thursday. Sri Lanka, who have already qualified for the July 6 final, rested their frontline bowler Chaminda Vaas and spinner Ajantha Mendis and brought in pacemen Kaushal Weeraratne and Dilhara Fernando. India, who must win this match to throw Pakistan out of the race for the final, dropped allrounder Yusuf Pathan and leg-spinner Piyush Chawla for left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha and paceman Rudra Pratap Singh.
